Surah Al Balad

Surah Al Balad is the 90th chapter of the Holy Quran. The meaning of the title is “The City”. It was revealed in Mecca. It contains 20 ayah and 1 ruku. Surah Al Balad is located in Juz’ 30.

The Surah begins by describing the city as a witness to the actions of its inhabitants. It highlights the blessings and resources that Allah has bestowed upon humans, such as the ability to speak and the provision of guidance. The Surah then emphasizes the importance of using these blessings for the greater good, by helping the needy, feeding the hungry, and taking care of orphaned children.
