English Translation:

  1. Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day are signs for those of understanding.
  2. Who remember Allah while standing or sitting or [lying] on their sides and give thought to the creation of the heavens and the earth, [saying], “Our Lord, You did not create this aimlessly; exalted are You [above such a thing]; then protect us from the punishment of the Fire.
  3. Our Lord, indeed whoever You admit to the Fire – You have disgraced him, and for the wrongdoers, there are no helpers.
  4. Our Lord, indeed we have heard a caller [i.e., Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ)] calling to faith, [saying], ‘Believe in your Lord,’ and we have believed. Our Lord, so forgive us our sins and remove from us our misdeeds and cause us to die among the righteous.
  5. Our Lord, and grant us what You promised us through Your messengers, and do not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed, You do not fail in [Your] promise.”
  6. And their Lord responded to them, “Never will I allow to be lost the work of [any] worker among you, whether male or female; you are of one another. So those who emigrated or were evicted from their homes or were harmed in My cause or fought or were killed – I will surely remove from them their misdeeds, and I will surely admit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow as reward from Allah, and Allah has with Him the best reward.”
  7. Be not deceived by the [uninhibited] movement of the disbelievers throughout the land.
  8. [It is but] a small enjoyment; then their [final] refuge is Hell, and wretched is the resting place.
  9. But those who feared their Lord will have gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding eternally therein, as accommodation from Allah. And that which is with Allah is best for the righteous.
  10. And indeed, among the People of the Scripture are those who believe in Allah and what was revealed to you and what was revealed to them, [being] humbly submissive to Allah. They do not exchange the verses of Allah for a small price. Those will have their reward with their Lord. Indeed, Allah is swift in account.
  11. O you who have believed, persevere and endure and remain stationed and fear Allah that you may be successful. (Translation by Saheeh International from quran.com)

Benefits of Reading the Last 10 Ayat of Surah Al Imran:

Kuraib, reported that Ibn Abbas narrated to him that he spent a night in the house of Maimuna (May Allah be pleased with her), the mother of the believers, who was his mother’s sister. I lay down across the cushion, whereas the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and his wife lay down on it length-wise. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) slept till midnight, or a little before midnight, or a little after midnight, and then got up and began to cast off the effects of sleep from his face by rubbing with his hand, and then recited the ten concluding verses of Surah Al-Imran. He then stood up near a hanging water-skin and performed ablution well, and then stood up and prayed. (Reference:Sahih Muslim 763b)

The above narration informs us about the habit (Sunnah) of The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) of reading the last 10 ayat of Surah Al Imran when waking up. Hence making a habit of reading them when waking up is beneficial as it is considered as acting upon the Sunnah of the Prophet (ﷺ).
Let’s review another authentic hadith that shows the benefits of reading Surah Al Imran.

Al-Nawwas Ibn Sam’an reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said “The Qur’an will be brought on the Day of Judgment, along with its companions who used to act by it, at the front being Surah Al Baqarah and Surah Al Imran. He (the Messenger ﷺ) likened them (the two surahs) to three things that I did not forget. He said they will be like two clouds, or two black canopies with light between them, or like two flocks of birds in ranks pleading for one who recited them. (Reference: Sahih Muslim 805)
